2010 Peekskill Varsity Football
Peekskill Varsity Football Coach Tony Truscello is very pleased with the determination and progress of the football team this year. Progress can not always be measured in wins and losses as there are other ways to evaluate the progress achieved. Although the Red Devils have not won any games this year, they continue to fight and have outplayed opponents in the second half of each game. This fortitude shows the character in which the players have performed throughout the season.
First year quarterbacks Jamej Lawton and Brian Egan have shared the position and worked together to lead the team. Their favorite target Diamonte Robinson is one of the outstanding receivers in the league. The running game has two outstanding halfbacks in Kyree Hull and Ramon Searight. The Red Wave Offense of the Red Devils is a Pistol type spread offense that gives the team many options of plays to run. The defense is anchored by linebackers Kevin Calabro and Miguel Diaz who leads the team in tackles. The line has some experience in seniors Miles Banks and Kyle Council.
The Red Devils are dedicated to continue to improve and it shows in each game and practice. The new offensive and defensive system is the framework to bring success in the future to Peekskill as this is the year the foundation is set for years of success to come. Come out and support the team.
Homecoming is on Saturday 10/23 @ 2:30 vs. Port Chester High School
