Long Lost Friends

When you left me
You left a deep mark
It sort of looked like a footprint on my heart
When we finally said good bye
I know it was the hardest thing to say
Because I know I started to remember all the good days
I remember when we  said “sisters for life”
Well who knew that life could end on such a short notice?
Now all I can say ” is man this is bogus”
Cuz who do I run to with all of my secrets
Even the ones I said I wouldn’t tell

Who do I share all my hopes and dreams with?

Because we were a dream team
When we were together we caused a major scene
But now that’s all over I don’t know what to do
Because deep down in my heart
I still love you
But now
My world seems so silent
Gets so angry
Makes me feel violent
Well at least I know
The first days will always be the hardest
This hurt will go the farthest
This cut will be the deepest
But forever in my heart
Our memories
Our friendship
