The Beauty of the Night
Darkness–the only thing to see.
Few find the beauty of the night.
You fall asleep tucked in tight,
Without admiring the sky.
If only we stopped to see.
We’d see the shine, the light.
It’s what makes up the night,
The moon, the stars, the dark.
The moon has stars for company,
Listens to me each night,
Sees me cry, sees me laugh,
Brings peace when I feel down.
If you feel lost in the dark,
Trust you’ll see its light,
Don’t feel afraid,
Hope returns to you again.
Different perceptions in the eyes of each soul,
We all have meanings of our own,
Beauty of the night I see each day,
Holding it close on the wrist of my hand.
