The American Red Cross Jerome Holland Scholarship Committee awarded second place in their scholarship contest to Evelyn Romero. The amount of $1,500 will be given upon receipt of proof of matriculation from her college. Evelyn has been accepted to SUNY Albany but is waiting to hear from top choices – Syracuse University, SUNY Binghamton, and Clarkson University. She’s also deciding between a business field or biology as a major.
Evelyn was also awarded the Westchester County Milly Kibrick Youth Leadership Award. She was one of 10 selected for this honor from the entire county.
