PHS Students Visit Paramount to Watch “I Have a Dream”
On Monday, February 06, 2017 the entire student body at Peekskill High School was invited to watch a production entitled, “I Have a Dream” at the Paramount Theater. This production was beautiful and well played. The production was simple and easy to understand. It was a timeline of Martin Luther King’s history, how he ended racial discrimination and brought peace and equality to everyone. The five actors did a great job. A question and answer session happened towards the end.
One student questioned the actors about the success of Dr. King’s goals.
“Have we all achieved Dr. King’s dreams?” asked the student.
The actors responded by saying that they thought much work had been done to achieve Dr. King’s dream, but there was still more progress to be made.
Overall,in my opinion, the play was amazing and outstanding.
