I want to make New Years resolution, but how can I make one that I can actually keep?
The best way to change is to do it slowly. That means that the best resolutions are ones that only require small changes so that you can reach your goal in the end. For example, if you want to make new friends, you can start small by smiling to a random person, or classmate you don’t usually talk to. Then as you get more comfortable, you can start to branch out and start conversations. If you went straight to bombarding people, you wouldn’t make many friends. You can also use the same concept for things like weight loss or being better at school. You can aim to loose one or two pounds a month, ultimately loosing around twenty when the year is done. In school, start by being your best at one subject then gradually do well in all of your classes. Big change is hard to adjust to, so it makes things seem easier when you take your time and stick with your goal!
