Over 40 students came out on Wednesday for the first pick-up soccer game sponsored by the new PHS Soccer Club. The club was formed and is supervised by the Hudson River Health Care’s Americorps Volunteers who are working at our school this year. The Volunteers, Greg, Diana, and Jen, also enjoy playing soccer themselves (a lot). The games were competitive, but friendly, and both male and female players participated.
The games will continue to be held after school on Wednesdays for as long as the weather permits. So get healthy — play soccer. Just put your sneakers on and come out to the Parade Field. It’s that simple!
