Cheerleaders Build School Spirit
All though their football season is ending, the cheerleaders still have the spirit to push their team on now and through the basketball season. As of last year they have a new coach, Kiera Robinson, who brought a new energy to the team. She cheered while she was in high school and loved it so much, she took after her aunt Shawna Robinson, and decided to coach JV and Varsity cheerleading. They meet on Mondays, Wednesdays-Fridays at 3-5pm. The team consists of seven members; seniors Jordan McIntosh and Autumn Henson; juniors Ashley Guzman, Elizabeth Granda, and Lexus Turner; sophomore Christiana Green; and freshman Samantha Robinson. The team includes some members from the previous seasons who teach some of the other newer member’s old moves and cheers. The cheerleaders encourage every student to come out and cheer for the Red Devils at Homecoming, October 19.
