Lana Del Rey recently released her new EP called Paradise. EP means “Extended Play”, which is a musical recording that contains more music than a single, but is
too short to qualify as a full studio album. It is kind of like a continuation o
f her first album, Born to Die. There are 9 songs on the EP. Lana’s style is different than most artists, which is one of the reasons why I like her music. The first single she released on the EP was Ride. All of the songs on the EP are really good, but I’d have to say my favorites are Ride, Yayo, and Body Electric.
Ride is one of my favorites because I love the music video and it’s very catchy.
Yayo is also one of my favorites because it’s a little different than what she usually does, its a little slower, and it’s a nice change from her other songs on the EP and her album, Born to Die.
Lastly, Body Electric is also one of my favorites because the song is Lana lending tribute to both Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe. Some people say that the song was cliche while others praised the songwriting. I fall into the category of praising the song.
In the end, Paradise is another great album/EP by Lana Del Rey. She didn’t let me down, it was as good as I thought it would be.
Lana is a great songwriter and she has a unique lovely voice that fits perfectly with her lyrics.
You can buy the Paradise EP for $7.99 on iTunes.
