On February 4, there was an art show at the Peekskill Coffee House. It showcased work from students in all grades in the Peekskill Schools. There was
art from Peekskill High School students such as: Jennilyn Curtin (see Obama Painting in the slide show), Walter Lazaro (see Abstract tree painting in the slide show), and many more. It was well attended by parents, students, teachers, art-loving citizens, and community members. It was very crowded and there were free cookies and juice.
Many of the art teachers were there and Mrs. Brown curated the event.
Drawing and Painting classes in the high school sculpted hearts out of clay and painted them, they were sold for $5 at the show to raise money.
Overall, the show was a success. Mrs. Brown sold many hearts and received many donations at the show, and there was a huge turnout.
