PHS Students Donate Blood, Save a life

On Thursday November 7, from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm in the Peekskill High School Gymnasium, the New York Blood Center along with the PHS Student Council sponsered their annual fall blood drive.  This event, in which the Peekskill High School student body and staff donated blood, was very succesful.  For students who felt a little lightheaded after the donation, the New York Blood Center provided snacks to students to regain their strength.  PHS students & staff donated over 46 pints of blood.  This is the most blood ever donated during this annual PHS fall blood drive.  The Student Council would like to thank everyone for their support and cooperation.  I had the opportunity to donate blood and I mentally and physically felt good, donating blood is something I would definately do again becuase it may help save a life.
